Kauai not only is the Hawaiian island that receives the most rainfall, but it is also home to the wettest spot on earth (the middle of Kauai receives more rainfall than any other place in the world). Only 10% of Kauai is habitable as much of the center of the island is mountainous terrain. Kauai is also home to the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific".
