Happy Thanksgiving Day

As usual, we had our annual Thanksgiving Day celebration together, and for the second year at the home of Ruthy and Bill. We almost forgot our group picture, so I thought I could get a good shot from the video camera...So, folks, here it is and I apologize that the quality is not what I expected. I intend to add a few more pictures as they come from other's cameras.

Saying Good-bye to Paul and Hailey as they move to Hawaii

Paul and Hailey are moving to Hawaii. Hailey will be working for the American Cancer Society in Kailua, Hawaii. They have made the rounds to visit friends and family to say "good-bye". The family in Lynchburg got together Sunday night for supper, and Paul and Hailey visited Grandma Zito in Shenandoah Nursing Home on Monday. Last weekend they visited with Hailey's granddad near Norfolk VA. We will miss them.

Agustin and Sarah at Grandparents Day at New Covenant!

Romeo and Juliet by Gounod

Derrick Thompson, a senior at Lynchburg College, made his operatic stage debut:)
I had the privilege and pleasure of having a small role in the opera, Romeo and Juliet, over the weekend with Opera-on-the-James at EC Glass High School. It was in colaboration with the Virginia School of the Arts. What a great time we had! I got to work with Craig Fields (director), David Ossenfort (tenor), and Talise Travigne (soprano)and, Francesco Milioto (conductor)and my friend Naomi Amos was our rehearsal pianist. We were fortuneate to have a very fine orchestra as well. The ballet was wonderful, and the students were exceptional from the Virginia School of the Arts. Agustin video-taped some of it, and I got a few snap-shots off the video, so they are not like a really good picture. I would include the "pros" but they are under "management", so we cannot "publish" their pictures. But, you can see them on their webpages.
